Big Daffodils gallery update – Stills, Posters and more!

Rose’s latest film “Daffodils” is currently screening in New Zealand cinemas, and the reviews so far is praising both the film and Rose’s performance! To celebrate the big release, I have updated our gallery with more than 20 stunning HQ photos from the film – some production stills, some promotional posters and one photo of Rose and George Mason filming a scene outdoors. Rose looks really beautiful in these, the styling and time era look really suits her perfectly. Unfortunately the film is only available in the NZ at the moment, but we will alert you as soon as it’s available for purchase world wide! If you’ve had the chance to watch the film, I would love to hear your opinion on it – either in the comments on this post, on twitter or on email. Enjoy the new photos!

Leaving her dying father’s bedside, singer Maisie (Kimbra) rushes to perform at an indie music gig in town. But as she sings the opening song, it is hard for her to ignore the heartfelt story she has just been told – the story of how her dad met and fell in love with her mother, and how it all devastatingly fell apart. As the night goes on, the love story of her father, Eric (George Mason), and her mother, Rose (Rose McIver), is shown through Maisie’s eyes. From the time they meet in Hamilton in 1966 to their separation in the 1980s, we follow the bittersweet nuances of a couple’s life, expressed with contemporary re-imaginings of the iconic New Zealand hit songs of artists such as Crowded House, Bic Runga and Dave Dobbyn.
