Public Events

With an acting career, comes a lot of off-camera jobs as well. Film promotion tours, conventions, award shows and other events to promote projects or yourself are some of the many – and here you can read more about the biggest events Rose has attended through the years. Find links to all posts related to each one, learn about the events and venues, find out more about Rose’s outfits and browse our complete section of photos from all her public appearances. We’ve sorted them by year for easy browsing.

Since being cast on the television series “Once Upon a Time” and “iZombie“, Rose has been a desired guest at various conventions all around the world. Since 2014, she has appeared on several different ones every year. Since conventions usually treat us to many new photos, interviews, videos and more, we have dedicated own pages for all the conventions! A fan convention (also known as con or fan meeting), a term that antedates 1942, is an event in which fans of a particular film, television series, comic book, actor, or an entire genre of entertainment, such as science fiction or anime and manga, gather to participate and hold programs and other events, and to meet experts, famous personalities, and each other. It gives fans the chance to meet Rose, take photos with her and get her autograph!

On our pages, you will be able to read a recap of the conventions, get links to photos and videos, hear stories from fans who got the chance to meet her and read interviews. Rose is known to be very generous and sweet to her fans, and with every single convention she boosts our admiration for her – find out why on the pages below…

In 2013, Rose’s international career really began to kick off. With roles in the American shows “Once Upon a Time” and “Masters of Sex”, Rose became wanted at many different celebrity events in the states. Recaps of the biggest ones are coming soon…

In the first part of 2010, Rose took a well deserved break from the public eye, after a hectic The Lovely Bones promotion tour. In August, she walked the red carpet for the film “Predicament” (in which she had a small role) in Tinseltown, before continuing to stay quite low-key the remaining part of the year. She did however attended a few charity/auction events, the New Zealand Music Awards and a fashion event.

On September 27, she was at the invitation-only launch of the Moet & Chandon Lounge at New Zealand Fashion Week. Here she walked the carpet in a stunning Juliette Hogan dress, and signed a gold leaf-coated jeroboam of Champagne bottle which would be auctioned for Oxfam New Zealand. “I’ve long admired Oxfam and was particularly inspired by their efforts to support fair-trade bananas in New Zealand, something I strongly advocate,” Rose said.

2009 was the by far busiest year of Rose’s career so far. At the end of the year, her film “The Lovely Bones” was released, and a long press and promotion tour followed right after. To view our full news and update archive on the film promotion tour, click this link. Here you’ll find all the videos, photos, news and other coverage from all the film’s premieres, press conferences and more, as well as most of the interviews and talk shows Rose did. Below you can read about each individual event.

They started with the “The Lovely Bones” Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund Royal Film Performance in London, on November 24. The event was held at Odeon Leicester Square, and Rose wore a gorgeous tailor-made dress by the talented Juliette Hogan. In addition to her co-stars and director Peter Jackson, a lot of big names could be spotted at the red carpet for the event. Among them were Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Tom Chambers, Little Boots and Anna Kendrick.

Up next was the The U.S film premiere of “The Lovely Bones”. Less than two weeks before it is released in limited theaters there, Rose and her co-stars visited New York City for its premiere. On Wednesday, December 2, red carpet was rolled out in front of Paris Theatre to welcome cast and crew for the film who all came to celebrate the special screening event. The attendees included Saoirse Ronan, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Michael Imperioli, Nikki SooHoo, and Stanley Tucci. Meanwhile, celebrity guests included actress/model Beth Stern, TV show’s host Carson Kressley, actors John Leguizamo and Mark Indelicato, and Academy Award winner Patricia Clarkson.
